Who comes to us in the Principality
The business owner living in Monaco
They live in the Principality and their company is still in Italy or France. They have to decide what to do with it: keep it and hand it to management, open up the capital or sell. Having your adviser a few minutes from home, and the transaction run in the country where the business operates, is a real advantage.
The Monegasque company in transition
A company in the Principality that is growing, reorganising or changing hands. Businesses here are often family or individually controlled, where a change of ownership is about people before numbers, and discretion is not a detail.
Those looking to acquire
Industrial groups, companies and investors looking at Italy or France who need someone to set the criteria, find and vet targets and make the first approach without revealing their name. This is the buy-side of our work.
What working from the Principality changes
Confidentiality is the norm, not an extra
Monaco is a place where discretion is part of how everyone works, and that shapes how we run a process: anonymous approaches, names shared only after a written agreement, no communication about the transaction until you decide.
A meeting point between two markets
The Principality sits between Italy and France, a few hours from the industrial districts of Northern Italy. For an Italian owner who is selling, or a French group that is buying, meeting here is often the simplest and least exposed option.
A declared scope
Alma Next provides study and analysis services for structuring and carrying out economic projects, and for identifying counterparties. It carries out no regulated financial activity, does not manage assets and offers no family office services. It is set out in our legal notice and we repeat it at the first meeting.
From Monaco, where we work
There is one office. The locations we work in are those where the businesses we advise operate, and the way we work adapts to distance and to local rules.
| Location | Type of transactions | How we work |
|---|---|---|
| Principality of Monaco | Sales, acquisitions and reorganisations of Monegasque companies | On the spot, alongside the advisers who already work with the business |
| Italy | Sales, acquisitions, business succession, restructuring | In Italy when needed, with the process run from the Principality |
| France | Transactions involving French companies and counterparty search | Working with local professionals chosen together with you |
| Switzerland and the rest of Europe | Target search and cross-border transactions | With local partners, while we remain your single point of contact |
The region where demand is strongest remains Northern Italy, and it has a page of its own: Milan and Northern Italy.
Frequently asked questions
Does Alma Next carry out regulated financial activities?
No. Our activity covers study and analysis services for structuring and carrying out economic projects and the search for counterparties, expressly excluding activities regulated by Monegasque Law No. 1.338 of 7 September 2007, as stated in our legal notice. We do not manage assets, raise funds or provide investment advice.
Why would an Italian or French company use an adviser based in Monaco?
For two practical reasons. The first is confidentiality: a process run from outside travels less through the circles in which the business works every day. The second is location, convenient for bringing together an Italian owner and a French or international counterparty. The transaction itself stays in the company’s country and follows its rules.
Do you only work with Monegasque companies?
No. Our office is in the Principality, but most transactions involve Italian and French companies. We also work with Monegasque companies, where the most frequent issue is the change of ownership of family or individually controlled businesses.
Do you work outside Monaco and Italy?
Yes. Beyond the Principality and Italy we work with French companies, and we handle cross-border transactions in Switzerland and the rest of Europe with local partners chosen together with you. You still have a single point of contact.
Can a first meeting take place remotely?
Yes, and that is often how it starts: a confidential call to understand the situation and the objectives, with no documents to prepare. If it makes sense to continue, the second meeting takes place in person, in the Principality or at the company.
How does working with you begin?
With a written mandate. Before the mandate there is a meeting and a proposal setting out what we will do, over what timeframe and on what financial terms. No confidential information leaves our office before that signature, nor afterwards without your consent.
